10.21.2014
TOPEKA KS - CAS has once again been recognized for their excellent work, this time by the Design Build Institute of America Mid America Region (DBIA-MAR). The Big Bull Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant project received an Honor Award in the category of Water/Wastewater Under $25 million.

Representatives from CAS, Burns & McDonnell, and the City of Edgerton were on hand to receive the award on October 16.

The Big Bull Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant and Conveyance System included the design and construction of a 500,000 gallon per day average daily flow wastewater treatment plant, approximately 8,500 feet of force main, and approximately 5,800 feet of gravity interceptor conveyance system. The system includes two pumping stations, manholes, air/vacuum release valves, and other appurtenances required for a fully functioning treatment system.

This isn't the first time the project has been honored, having previously received awards from the ACEC, Kansas City Business Journal, and AGC of Kansas.
